curl / wget and gzip encoding

I had no idea that neither curl nor wget will accept gzip encoding. They’re totally ignorant of it! You can set an Accept-Encoding header manually to tell the server to compress, but then you’re on your own to decompress.

wget --header="Accept-Encoding: gzip"
curl -H 'Accept-Encoding: gzip'

Update curl does have a --compressed flag that does the decompression for you.
